From fullscreen to feedspeed – how do you adapt your creative?

Van fullscreen naar feedspeed – hoe pas je je creatie aan?

It happens more often than you’d like: your production is tightly planned, but the client’s input fails to arrive. The waiting begins. Or does it?

At Banny, we believe speed isn’t just about working hard, but above all about organizing smartly. Because even when a client is slow to deliver, there is a surprising amount you can do to keep up the pace. In this blog we share 6 tips on how to stay in control and simply keep delivering. Even when you don’t have everything.

You don’t need the whole screen to stand out. You only need the first half second.

Why isn’t fullscreen enough anymore?

Fullscreen ads had one advantage: undivided attention. Think a story or interstitial — the whole screen, one message. But in the feed, that is a thing of the past. You share space with content from friends, influencers and other brands. The attention span? Milliseconds.

Where fullscreen formats still left room for storytelling, feed advertising demands speed, simplicity and full adaptation to the channel. Creatives that are simply “made smaller” almost always lose their effect.

Pace: you don’t have a second to lose

In a feed you have three seconds at most to grab attention — after that, the user has already scrolled on. A powerful visual or direct message is crucial.

Good feed content stands out instantly. Think a close-up of your product, a striking color or a clear promise. Don’t wait until the end for your brand or message. Start with it.

Keep in mind:

  • Start with your brand or product right away.

  • Keep the pace high with short cuts or animations.

  • Make sure audio is optional: use subtitles or on-screen text.

No build-up, no waiting time — your creative has to perform in the moment.

Composition: designing for the small screen

What works at large size rarely works in a mobile feed. The screen is smaller, the attention shorter and the distraction greater. So your image must bring calm and trigger at the same time.

An effective feed composition

  • Uses the right format (1:1, 4:5 or 9:16).

  • Has one clear focal point: product, person or headline.

  • Keeps the image calm and uncluttered.

  • Ensures contrast and legibility, even in daylight.

  • Keeps CTAs and text within the ‘safe zones’.

Let the image speak for itself. In the feed, your visual needs no extra explanation.

Copy: shorter, punchier, more direct

Long copy rarely works in feed formats. You literally have one chance to trigger — with a few words. Write as if you’re sending a push notification.

Tips for feedproof copy

  • Start with a clear promise or benefit.

  • Limit yourself to 5–7 words per message. Put your CTA on screen immediately.

  • Use active language: “Shop now”, “See offers”, “Claim your deal”.

The combination of image and copy determines whether someone stops scrolling. Make them work together as one powerful headline.

Producing smart and at scale

Feed creatives demand a lot of variation in format, message and style. But most production processes are not set up for that. At Banny.io we understand that creative should never be a bottleneck. That is why we deliver creative as a service — fast, scalable and platform-ready.

What you can expect from us

  • Modular templates for every format and channel.

  • Smart automation of output and variants.

  • Speed: always ready to ship in 24–72 hours.

  • Feedback loops and optimization: what works, what doesn’t and what could be better.

That way you keep your focus on strategy, while we make sure your creative performs, every single time.

From now on, think feed-first

The difference between a creative that works and one that disappears is not in the idea, but in the execution. So stop thinking “one size fits all” and start thinking in feed-first formats.
